Travel to Vancouver Island by Ferry...
Take BC Ferries - leave from Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen, British Columbia, Canada. Arrive at Nanaimo.
Take Coho Ferry - leave from Port Angeles, Washington, USA. Arrive in Victoria.
Take Washington State Ferry - leave from Anacortes, Washington, USA. Arrive in Sydney.
Once on Vancouver Island...
From Duke Point Terminal, Nanaimo:
Follow Highway #1 North until it changes to Highway #19, then follow #19 North to the Parksville area, then watch for signs leading you off Highway #19 to Highway #4 West and/or Port Alberni.
From Departure Bay Terminal, Nanaimo:
Follow Highway #19 North to the Parksville area, then watch for signs leading you off Highway #19 to Highway #4 West and/or Port Alberni.
From Downtown Victoria:
Travel north on Douglas Street until it turns into Highway #1. Follow Highway #1 until you reach Nanaimo where you change to Highway #19. Follow Highway #19 North to the Parksville area, then watch for signs leading you off Highway #19 to Highway #4 West and/or Port Alberni.
From Sydney, B.C. (near Victoria):
Follow Highway #1 north until you reach Nanaimo where you change to Highway #19. Follow Highway #19 North to the Parksville area, then watch for signs leading you off Highway #19 to Highway #4 West and/or Port Alberni. Note: When you first leave the Ferry at Sydney, Highway #1 travels south for approximately 1/2 hour, then follow the signs that will take you north on Highway #1 to Nanaimo.
